Lee Walls was an infielder on the 1951 PCC Western State Conference champion baseball team (30-5 record). He was an All-CIF shortstop for Pasadena High prior to joining PCC's community college ranks. A superb athlete, Walls was the leading scorer at 12.6 points a game for the PCC basketball team. Walls made the amazing leap of going straight from PCC to playing in the Major Leagues, playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates at just 19-years-old in 1952. He went on to play 10 years for five different teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers at the end of his pro career in 1962-1964. He made the 1958 All-Star team with the Chicago Cubs.
