The Pasadena City College baseball team jumped out to a 7-0 lead against visiting Chaffey before a persistent rain finally halted the South Coast Conference North Division contest after three full innings at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Memorial Field Tuesday.

The game will be resumed on Saturday, Mar. 25 at 11 a.m. prior to the regularly scheduled third game of the Panthers-Lancers series. The original 12 p.m. game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the halted game.

PCC designated hitter Brett Wheat already has four RBI, including a 3-run homer over the right-field fence in the bottom of the third. Alex Briggs knocked in two with a triple. Starting pitcher Jesse Hanckel has allowed just one hit and struck out two in three scoreless innings.
