Freshmen leftfielder Edward Manzo and first-year starting pitchers Gordon Ingebritson and Nathan Garkow were the Pasadena City College selections to the 2018 All-South Coast Conference North Division Baseball First Team in voting by conference coaches in their season-ending meeting.

Manzo was second among all SCC batters in either division in conference batting average at .432, fourth in RBI with 22 and in on-base percentage at .484, plus he was tied for first in triples with four.

In seven conference starts, Ingebritson went 2-3 with a 2.84 ERA in 44.1 innings pitched. He walked 10 and struck out 31. Garkow was 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA in 44 innings pitched. He added a complete-game shutout, a save, walked only eight and his 35 Ks was fifth among all SCC hurlers.

Freshman second baseman Ryan Lewis and sophomore shortstop Jose Jimenez were chosen to the All-SCC North Second Team. Lewis batted .312 with 10 RBI and was flawless in the field, making no errors in 123 chances. Jimenez batted .293 in conference with eight RBI. On defense, his 71 assists led all SCC players in that category.

The five players, coached by Pat McGee, will be in action this Friday-Saturday, May 4-5 when the No. 12 seed Lancers (22-18) play at No. 5 Glendale in a Round 1 best-of-3-game series of the Southern California Regional Playoffs.
