Led by Michael Humphrey with three event wins, six different Pasadena City College men's swim team members won individual races as the Lancers downed Chaffey, 194-49, in a South Coast Conference dual meet on Friday. It is the only conference meet to be held at PCC's Aquatic Center this season.

Pasadena (2-1 in SCC meets) won 12 of the 14 events, including the 200-yard medley relay of Grayson Wade, Harrison Tin, Jeffrey Kha and Mathew Bilaver in 1:45.32 and the 400 freestyle relay by Humphrey, Christian Gonzalez, Kenneth Tiet and Carlo Octoman in 3:36.32.

Humphrey won the 1,000 freestyle in a speedy 10:25.49, the 100 butterfly (56.11) and the 200 individual medley (2:09.33). Tin took first place in both the 200 freestyle (1:53.61), a close win over Chaffey's Jade El-Gaouny (1:54.05) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.82). Wade scored wins in the 100 (1:01.16) and 200 backstroke (2:18.41).

Single event victories were turned in by Octoman in the 50 freestyle (23.47), Bilaver in the 100 freestyle (50.14), and Jiri Kral in the 200 breaststroke (2:24.46). The most productive points race for the Lancers was the 100 breaststroke as PCC scored all 19 possible points (five places deep) as Tin was followed by teammates Bilaver in second, Kral in third, Nicholas Chan in fourth and Kha in fifth. Aramiss Youngblood didn't score but was sixth out of nine swimmers in the pool.

In the conference-opening double dual meet v. host Mt. San Antonio and El Camino on Feb. 28, the Lancers split, losing to Mt. SAC, 158-104, while defeating ECC, 187-77. Tin was a winner in both the 100 (1:00.71) and 200 breaststroke (2:15.80). Bilaver scored two wins as well, hitting the wall in first in the 50 (22.03) and 100 freestyle (48.74). Humphrey dueled it out with Mt. SAC's Jonathan Olvera as the PCC swimmer won the 100 butterfly (53.03) and just was edged out by the Mountie talent by .15 of a second (1:57.64 for Humphrey) in the 200 butterfly.

PCC will take a break next week before returning to SCC action in a double dual meet at Rio Hondo College against Long Beach City and the Roadrunners (meet time is 12:30 p.m.). Coach Terry Stoddard's Lancers only other home meet is the 20th Pasadena Invitational to take place April 3-4 (April 2 diving only will take place at another location to be determined).

Lancer Michael Humphrey won 3 events on Friday.
