The competition at the 2018 CCCAA State Championships proved there is work to be done next season for the Pasadena City College men's track and field team. The Lancers three qualifiers combined for seven points as PCC placed in a tie for 27th out of 37 scoring teams at the season-ending state meet held at Bakersfield College May 18-19.

Martin Swan placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.78 seconds and fellow sophomore and South Coast Conference 400-meter champion Brennan Doyle also was sixth in his event at 48.20. Miles Johnson made it into the top 8 scorers in eighth place in the high jump with a leap of 6-feet, 0.75 inches. None of the times/marks were season bests for the three Lancers although Swan was just .02 off his SoCal Finals time.

Fellow SCC college Mt. San Antonio once again captured the state team championship with a state meet record 160 points.

PCC's track/field program is directed by head coach Innocent Egbunike.
