Men's Harriers Place 20th At SoCal Preview Meet

The Pasadena City College men's cross country team placed 20th out of 28 scoring teams at the SoCal Preview Meet held September 14 at Cerritos College. Dylan Che was the only Lancer to place in the top 100 as he took 74th out of 313 total racers during the 4-mile course.

Che, a sophomore, crossed the finish line at 21 minutes, 41.5 seconds. The next Lancer finisher was Giovanni Guajardo in 116th at 22:15. Other Lancers participating were William Su (162nd, 22:54.4), Jose Campos (167th, 23:02), Trevor Abe (236th, 24:35.6), Samuel Silva (256th, 25:29.2), Jacob Reyes (273rd, 26:26.3), and Izaq Davolt (299th, 30:33.6). 

Carson Bix of El Camino College won the SoCal race in 20:01.5 while San Diego Mesa was the team champion.

At the Palomar Invitational on September 7 in Oceanside, the Lancers men took fifth place out of seven scoring teams, led by Che in 25th place individually (22:34) out of 100 racers. Su landed in 34th place (23:19) while Raul Diaz was 43rd (23:46).

The Lancers are directed by head coach Innocent Egbunike.
