Men's Harriers Grab 3rd At Cerritos Meet

The Pasadena City College men's cross country team ran well as a group and scored third place out of 10 teams at the Cerritos Falcons Invitational held October 4 at Don Knabe Regional Park next to Cerritos College.

Three Lancers placed in the top 30 individually behind the performances of Asa Barton (20th, 21:22.65), Giovanni Guajardo (25th, 21:37.63) and Alec Fernandez (28th, 21:50.64) over the 4-mile course.

Jose Campos was next fastest for PCC in 42nd (22:54), then Jose Fuentes (56th, 23:40), Jordan Jiang (62nd, 23:57), Karvin Li (76th, 25:46), and Jalen Kelley (78th, 25:50).

With a field of 105 runners racing, Orange Coast College won the team title, followed by Cerritos, then PCC. 

Coach Innocent Egbunike's Lancers will next race this Friday, Oct. 11 at the annual Brubaker Invitational held at Irvine Regional Park.
