For her first week performance of the season, Pasadena City College freshman pitcher Britney Lopez earned the state's first 2018 3CFCA Pitcher of the Week award.

Lopez helped get the Lancers off to a hot start to the season by throwing the program's first 7-inning no-hitter in the last 18 years in a 6-0 win at Saddleback College on Jan. 29.  Lopez finished with five strikeouts in the shutout, walking only two. She followed that up by throwing a shutout inning against Ventura College a few days later. She is a product of Monrovia High.

Lopez is guided by Lancers pitching coach Stephanie Marshall and earned a spot on PCC's roster under head coach Monica Tantlinger.
