The Pasadena City College women's badminton 2022 season ended with a whimper as the Lancers were left out in both championship and consolation singles and doubles at the CCCAA State Individual Championships at Fresno City College Friday-Saturday.
Friday's 17-4 loss at Irvine Valley spelled the end of the Pasadena City College women's badminton reign of control over the South Coast Conference. The Lancers streak of five straight SCC titles from 2015-2019 came to an end as IVC clinched the 2022 SCC crown.
With Wednesday's 19-2 win over East Los Angeles, the Pasadena City College women's badminton team still has an outside chance of tying Irvine Valley for the 2022 South Coast Conference team title. The Lasers all but have a share of the crown at 6-0 in conference matches, but PCC is 4-1 in second place.
