The Pasadena City College women's swim team finished the South Coast Conference dual season at 2-5 by defeating East Los Angeles, 110-71, and losing to first-place Mt. San Antonio, 161-67, on Friday at the Aquatic Center.

Carmen Ung won three events and Yvette Rosales won another while Lancers swimmers were second in seven other events. Ung took first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.92), the 200 breaststroke (2:29.96) and the 200 IM (2:18.82) while Rosales scored her win the 100 butterfly at 1:12.53.

Rosales swam to season-best times in the 1,000 freestyle (12:48.54) and 200 butterfly (2:41.82), both second place performances. Also with strong swims were Carolina Lopez with seconds in the 50 freestyle (28.66) and 100 freestyle (1:03.75) and Fernanda Alvarez, who placed second in the 500 freestyle (6:20.84) and in the 200 backstroke (2:43.54). The 200 medley relay squad of Alvarez, Ung, Rosales and Lopez scored second in a time of 2:09.09.

PCC would have won the 400 freestyle relay quite easily, beating Mt. SAC's four by almost 14 seconds but because dual rules prohibit the number of times individual swimmers race, the Lancers mark of 4:15.54 was performed as an exhibition by the Ung, Lopez, Alvarez, and Rosales combo.

Coach Terry Stoddard's Lancers will continue to improve times as they host the 19th Pasadena Invitational Thursday-Saturday, April 4-6 at the Aquatic Center.
