A difficult South Coast Conference dual meet season ended for the Pasadena CIty College women's swim team on Friday, but now the individual accomplishments of Nickey Hale will come into bloom in the next few weeks. A short-handed Lancers team lost a double dual against Cerritos and host East Los Angeles College.

The Lancers finished 0-7 in the SCC meets with a 106-65 loss to ELAC and 151-50 defeat to Cerritos.

Hale scored event victories in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:54.35), 500 freestyle (5:43.22), and 100 butterfly (1:06.87) and in doing so swam well ahead of the rest of the field in those swims. Hale's 1,000 swim was the second-fastest in the state this year. She is seventh in the state in the 500 freestyle (fastest mark so far is 5:39.37)

Lilian Tahmasian placed second in all three of her events, the 200 freestyle (2:19.59), 100 breaststroke (1:24.85), and 500 freestyle (6:10.57).

Berte Montes scored second in the 100 freestyle (1:11.98), third in the 50 freestyle (32.66), and fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:24.68).

PCC will co-host with East LA the Pasadena Invitational at ELAC's indoor stadium pool on Friday-Saturday, April 8-9.
