Women's Track's Rychlick Makes State Top 25 In 3 Events

Sophomore Kessa Rychlick has made the state Top 25 in three different events after her performances at the Pasadena City College women's track and field team's two most recent meets.

Rychlick placed fifth overall and 24th statewide in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:02.38 at the Cal State Los Angeles Invitational held March 2. At the Cerritos Open on Feb. 23, she took fifth in the 100 hurdles in 17.50 seconds (23rd in state), then scored seventh in the 400 hurdles at 1:15.04 (25th in state).

At CSULA, Joanna Anaya won her secondary heat and placed 11th in the 400 (1:06.87), Claire Chen 22nd in the 200 (30.72), and Raylin Galvan 16th in the 1,500 (6:14.33). At Cerritos, Chen was eighth in the 100 hurdles (18.76), Amanda Noriega 13th in the 800 (3:07.98), and Abigail Olivares 17th in the 100 (14.73). 

This Saturday, March 9, Coach Innocent Ebunike's Lancers are scheduled to participate in the Occidental College Distance Carnival.
