Women's Volleyball Wins 5th Straight

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball extended its winning streak to five matches and moved to 2-0 in the South Coast Conference North Division with a road win over Chaffey, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21, on Wednesday.

The Lancers are 9-5 overall under first-year head coach Mike Terrill. It was the second straight match in which PCC lost the first set and came back to win. 

Sophomore outside hitter Rayleen Rivera was a force as she hit 19 kills, made 12 digs, served four aces and made three blocks. Paige Clingaman added 15 kills (hit .355) while libero Michelle Boyd continued her impressive defensive play with 28 digs. Vanessa Lopez contributed nine digs and three aces.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, PCC hosts East Los Angeles College in a 6 p.m. SCC match.
