Year: 25th season in 2024

A quarter-of-a-century on the job, Terry Stoddard will enter his 25th season as women's water polo head coach in 2024. In the spring, Stoddard is head coach for both the men's and women's swim teams.  This is his 25th year working at the college and running all three programs.

Returning after the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Stoddard coached the 2021 Lancers to a sixth place finish in the South Coast Conference, earning wins over Rio Hondo, East Los Angeles (twice) and El Camino. The 2022 team suffered through injuries/illnesses and a short roster.

The 2019 Lancers posted their highest finish at the season-ending South Coast Conference Championship Tournament in 12 years when they grabbed fourth place. PCC advanced to the third place final and played a strong Mt. San Antonio team tough before losing 11-7. In the round robin season, the Lancers finished 4-3, the first time in school history they recorded an above .500 record in the round robin portion of conference play in the very difficult SCC.

In 2015, Stoddard guided his best defensive team ever as the Lancers allowed only 7.2 goals per contest. PCC had a winning 14-12 overall record and placed fifth out of nine teams at the SCC Tournament.

Stoddard directed the 2015-16 PCC Women's Athlete of the Year in all sports--Ariahn Givens. The sophomore utility player set PCC school records for most steals in a season (147) and career (273) and earned All-SCC First Team honors. The team's 358 steals is also a PCC record. Two-time, All-SCC First Team goalie Clarque De Young set a school record by recording three shutouts and she made 205 saves overall. De Young later was an All-Southern California Region selection in 2016.

In 2016, Stoddard served as tournament director as PCC hosted the CCCAA State Water Polo Championship Tournament.

In 2012, Stoddard's Lancers produced new all-time leading scorer Makenzie Blank (168 goals in 2011-12) and single-season saves leader Shelby Gregg (279 saves). The pair were two-time, All-SCC First Team selections.

In 2007, the team took third place at the South Coast Conference Tournament, defeating a high-ranked Chaffey team that went on to reach the State Tournament. The Lancers grabbed fourth place overall in the combined regular season/tournament standings and finished with a winning 14-13 record.

In 2006-2007, Stoddard coached a pair of All-Americans who would set the school's single-season goals record. One year after Sarah Min scored 96 goals, Lybov Tchoughounova scored 105 goals in 2007 to break the goals mark.

Stoddard also coached two-time, All-Southern California selection in goalie Hannah Hogue (2009-2010), who set school records for saves in a game (21) and a career (526).

Stoddard has collected 171 contest victories in his coaching career.

Before coming to PCC, Stoddard served as the head coach for Rose Bowl Aquatics in Pasadena from 1992-97. On the national level, Stoddard was an assistant coach for the U.S. women's team at the Pan American Games in 1991. An adviser for the Polish Olympic swim team, he coached two medalists in Rafel Szukala (1992, silver medal, 100-yard butterfly) and Artur Wojdat (1988, bronze medal, 400-freestyle).
