Women's Cross Country's Olivia Ruiz Places 7th At Cerritos Invitational

Pasadena City College women's cross country runner Olivia Ruiz ran a sparkling time of 19:05.09 to place seventh overall at the Cerritos Falcons Invitational held October 4 at Don Knabe Park in Norwalk.

Ruiz was one of 16 runners to race the 5-kilometer course in less than 20 minutes. Meline Minassian also ran well in 21st at 20:48.81. 

Wafa Kasim finished in 49th (24:18) while teammate Nathalia Caramaschi followed right behind in 50th (24:27).

The Lancers will next be in action on Friday, Oct. 11 at the annual Brubaker Invitational held at Irvine Regional Park.
