Carissa Guardado finished 70th overall at the Biola Invitational Friday morning, but the Pasadena City College women's cross country racer showed her worth by placing fourth among all California Community College runners in the event.

Guardado ran the 5-kilometer Craig Regional Park course (Fullerton) in a time of 20 minutes, 54.7 seconds. The freshman competed against CCC runners from Cerritos, Saddleback and East Los Angeles Colleges as well as ten 4-year university teams.

The Lancers didn't have enough runners to score as a team but also racing at the Biola Invite were Dariana Estrada (111th, 24:50), Jessica Coffin (119th, 27:16), and Estrella Camacho-Rodriguez (123rd, 31:55).
