Sophomore goalie Steven Sandoval was named to the 2019 All-South Coast Conference First Team while freshman forward Mario Urbina was selected Second Team as the lone Pasadena City College players to make the elite squad.
Sandoval (Orthopaedic Hospital Medical Magnet HS) was the netminder on just the third PCC team in the last 15 years to reach 10 wins and finish above .500. He made 71 saves and a 1.83 goals against average in 16 starts, including two shutouts. The 2-year letterman set a PCC school record for most minutes played in a career with 2,823 and his 151 career saves is No. 3 on the all-time Lancers goalie list.
Urbina, from Arroyo High, was PCC's leading scorer with seven goals and 10 assists (24 points).
The Lancers pair were guided by PCC head coach Gerry Mora.
