  • Halim Places 130th As PCC Men's Cross Country Season Ends

    Mohammad Halim ran a time of 22 minutes, 53.5 seconds to place 130th overall as the only Pasadena City College racer at the CCCAA State Championships held Nov. 23 at Fresno's Woodward Park.
  • Injuries, State Cut Affects Men's Cross Country At SoCal Championships

    Despite four runners placing in the top 100, the Pasadena City College men's cross country team had to settle for 19th place overall at the Southern California Championships held Nov. 8 at Mission Bay in San Diego. The Lancers were able to only qualify one racer for the upcoming CCCAA State Championships in Fresno on Nov. 23.

    All season, the Pasadena City College men's cross country team had relied on its two top runners Asa Barton and Giovanni Guajardo. On Nov. 1 at the South Coast Conference Championships, it was two other Lancers who stepped up while the mainstays didn't reach their top performances as the team placed sixth out of eight teams at Irvine Regional Park.

    Facing mostly 4-year university competition, the Pasadena City College men's cross country team finished in 15th place overall out of 18 scoring teams, placing ahead of the only other community college teams participating in Glendale and Ventura, at the Biola Invitational held Saturday at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton.

    The Pasadena City College men's cross country team may have turned its fortunes around in 2019. The Lancers placed fourth overall as a team at the Ventura Invitational but four of their runners placed in the top 20 out of 58 total racers.
