Halim Places 130th As PCC Men's Cross Country Season Ends

Mohammad Halim ran a time of 22 minutes, 53.5 seconds to place 130th overall as the only Pasadena City College racer at the CCCAA State Championships held Nov. 23 at Fresno's Woodward Park.

Halim is a freshman from Arcadia High.

College of the Sequoias Ismael Ramirez won the individual race over the 4-mile course in 20:14. San Diego Mesa won the state team title.

The Lancers have not qualified as a team since the 2016 season when they placed 27th. The last time a PCC runner placed in the top 20 individually was Will Zentmyer in 2010 when he was 16th overall.

PCC did place 19th at the SoCal Championships and had several strong runners, but injuries in the past few weeks prevented a few of them from being able to match previous best times and thus missing the cut for the state meet.
