Stephanie Marshall has served as the Lancers pitching coach since 2014 and will mark her ninth season on the job in 2023.
Marshall pitched four years at NCAA Division I UC Riverside (2006-09) and was an All-Big West Second Team selection a a freshman. A four-year scholar-athlete, she was selected twice as All-Big West Academic Team. She also served as a team captain for two seasons.
A native of Concord, Ca., Marshall previously was an ace at College Park High and was an all-league most valuable pitcher her senior prep season.
She helped with the progress of PCC pitching ace and All-South Coast Conference First Team Pica Madrid (2016-2017), who became the first Lancer in seven years to reach 10 circle victories, and first in 12 years to record back-to-back, double-digit win seasons. In 2018, she coached Britney Lopez, a State Pitcher of the Week award winner, and Angel Wintercorn, an All-SCC First Team choice. Both pitchers hurled no-hitters. The staff recorded nine shutouts, including four consecutive, 5-inning blankings from March 27-30.
In 2019-20, Marshall guided workhorse Austyn Helmuth, an 11-game winner who made 30 appearances (127 innings) with a 2.60 ERA, to All-Second Team.
Marshall earned her bachelor's degree at UCR then completed a law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013.
She is a full-time instructor in PCC's business division.
