Women's Track Returns At Bakersfield Relays

After taking last week off from competition, the Pasadena City College women's track team participated at the Bakersfield Relays on March 16. Top athlete Kessa Rychlick placed third in two events while the 4x100 relay squad raced its best time this season.

The sophomore Rychlick ran a 27.26 seconds time in the 200 meters and a 17.58 in the 100 hurdles. 

The 4x100 Lancers squad of Abigail Olivares, Claire Chen, Rychlick and Kaitlin Lee placed second in the race with a time of 54.37 (28th in the state).

Olivares was ninth in the 100 (14.41) and Raylin Galvan scored fifth in the 1,500 (6:23.43).

On Friday, Mar. 22, PCC plans to take part in the El Camino College Invitational with track events beginning at 3 p.m.
