Women's Cross Country's Guardado Just Misses All-Conference, Qualifies For SoCal Meet

Carissa Guardado placed 15th overall, just a place from All-South Coast Conference Second Team honors, as the Pasadena City College women's cross country runner participated in the 2021 SCC Championships held October 29 at Compton's Wilson Park.

Guardado ran 20 minutes, 56 seconds over the 5-kilometer course, just behind All-SCC Second Teamer from Cerritos in Charlotte Barrera-Montero (20:53.4). Guardado learned she is the only Lancer woman to qualify for Friday's (Nov. 5) Southern California Championships to be held at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. 

The '21 season came to an end for the following PCC runners: Dariana Estrada, 37th, 24:21.7, Jessica Coffin, 44th, 25:36.8, and Estrella Camacho-Rodriguez, 50th, 28.11.4.

Pasadena did not score as a team.
