A tough season for the Pasadena City College men's soccer team didn't take away from the individual accomplishments as four Lancers were selected to the 2021 All-South Coast Conference Team, announced on Wednesday.

Making All-SCC First Team were the team's top players on each side of the field in sophomore center back defender Cameron Montano and PCC leading scorer and second-season midfielder Martin Manzanilla (five goals, four assists, 14 points). Montano defensive skill set was instrumental for the team's highlight game of the season when the Lancers earned a 0-0 tie v. SoCal #1-seeded and SCC North Division champion Mt. San Antonio. Montano's ability to break up opponents scoring chances on slide tackles and his quick clear out mentality made him one of the state's top defensive players.

Selected to the All-SCC Second Team were sophomore striker Asher Smith, a player who used his speed to create breakaway attempts, and freshman midfielder and left-footed shooting artist Nathan Cruz. Both players collected four goals and three assists for 11-point seasons.

The Lancers placed last in the 5-team, SCC North Division, then last again in the 10-team, SCC Tournament, finishing 5-14-3 overall. Coach Gerry Mora's squad was snakebit in losing six times by one goal margins.
