Jaimie Harris continued her pursuit of the Pasadena City College softball team single-season home run record by slugging two on Tuesday but Long Beach City College rallied to beat the Lancers, 6-4, at Robinson Park. PCC's 7-game win streak to open South Coast Conference play ended.

The state #15-ranked Lancers led 3-2 going into the top of the seventh, but the Vikings (16-7, 9-2) scored four runs to put the game away.

Harris, a sophomore third baseman, batted 3-for-4 with three RBI, including her seventh home run, a 2-run shot over the centerfield fence in the third and then HR #8 this year, a drive over the right-center fence in the seventh. She needs three home runs over the team's final 20 games to break the power record set of 10 homers set by both Holly Riker-Sloane and Justine Zavala remarkably in the same year of 2015.

Shortstop Danielle Ruiz batted 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and her team-leading 11th stolen base. Starting pitcher Kiley Kraft was 1-for-3 with a RBI. Reliever Elena Bahnimtewa hurled three innings of 2-hit shutout ball and was in line for the circle win before LBCC was able to touch up Austyn Helmuth (2-3 record) in the final inning.

Long Beach was led by Kirstin Sanchez, who was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Harris now leads the SoCal region in home runs and is tied for third in the state. She leads the conference in homers, RBI (27, tied for seventh in the state), and slugging percentage (.894, eighth in state).

PCC is scheduled to host Chaffey on Thursday, Mar. 30 in a non-conference game at 2:30 p.m. (weather, field conditons permitting).
