Softball's Harris Shatters 19-Year-Old PCC RBI Record

Already the school's all-time home runs leader, Jaimie Harris set the Pasadena City College softball team's single-season record for runs batted in with 46 in the team's loss to Chaffey on April 20. Her first-inning, run-scoring triple in that home game broke a 19-year-old record of 45 RBI set by Tiffany Peterson in 2004.

Harris currently has 69 career ribbies, but may not be able to catch all-time RBI leader and PCC Hall of Famer Jennifer Fish, who drove in 82 runs in 1999-2000. Harris has two regular season games remaining and then possible postseason games in May.

An All-South Coast Conference Second Team selection as a freshman, the third baseman leads the conference in home runs (PCC record 11) and RBI and is fifth in the state in both offensive categories. She also tops the conference in hits (53, tied), doubles (14, tied), and slugging percentage (.819). Harris leads the Lancers in batting with a .417 average.
