After five seasons as head coach and two previously as an assistant, Reggie Rivas announced he is leaving his position as head coach of the Pasadena City College women's soccer team due to other soccer-related commitments.

Last year, Rivas became the co-owner of SoCal Crush FC, a pro-am soccer franchise and part of United Women's Soccer. SoCal Crush FC plays its home games at Crescenta Valley High School and its headquarters are in Montrose. Rivas is also founder of the long-running Crescenta Valley Soccer Club, which has produced numerous 4-year university players. 

At PCC, Rivas best season was his last in 2017 when the Lancers finished 10-7-3 and landed six players on the All-South Coast Conference North Division Team. He finished with a 32-50-21 overall record in his five seasons, often playing a challenging schedule against many of the state's top teams. PCC also is a member of what is considered the state's most competitive league--the South Coast Conference. 

In 2012 as an assistant coach, Rivas recruited three key players and CVSC alumni in Nancy Nunez, Vanessa Capra and Hallie White as the trio helped the Lancers earn a SoCal Regional playoff spot with a 12-5-5 overall record. 

In 2002, Rivas was head coach of the Crescenta Valley High girls soccer team, a squad that finished as the runner-up in the CIF Southern Section Division II playoffs. In two head coaching stints at CVHS, Rivas produced an 89-24-17 record, including back-to-back Pacific League titles in 2009-2010. He was named Pacific League Coach of the Year in 2010. He also served as an assistant coach for UCLA's women's team back in 2002.

PCC has already began a search for a part-time head coach to take over for the 2018 season.
