Arabella Carboni and Nickey Hale collected six event victories between them to highlight the Pasadena City College women's swim team's performance at a South Coast Conference double dual meet held Mar. 17 at Long Beach City College.

Unfortunately for PCC, their feats were not enough in dual meet losses to both El Camino, 125-75, and LBCC, 155-74.

Carboni scored an exciting finger-tip victory over Long Beach's Sierra Cavano in the 50-yard freestyle, 27.33 to 27.34, beat Cavano again in the 100 freestyle at 60 seconds flat to her opponent's 62, and had a convicing win in the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.38.

Hale also needed her skills to edge LBCC's Daphne Wilder in winning the 200 freestyle, 2:10.25 to 2:10.50. The sophomore scored a solid win the 200 individual medley in 2:33.57 and dominated her victory in the 500 freestyle in 5:58.37, a good 16 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.

Emily Padilla placed second in the 1,000 freestyle (13:21.75) and swam third in the 500 free (6:19.09).

Coach Terry Stoddard's Lancers will travel to Mt. San Antonio College on Friday, Mar. 24 in a conference double dual v. the Mounties and East Los Angeles. The meet begins at 10 a.m.
