Women's Swim's Hale 7th In 500 Freestyle At 3C2A State Meet

Pasadena City College's Nickey Hale scored a state medal for the second straight year with her seventh place finish in the 500-yard freestyle during Day 1 of the 3C2A State Swimming and Diving Championship at East Los Angeles College on Thursday.

Hale, a fifth place finisher in the 400 individual medley last year, swam an impressive 5:28.16 in the morning prelims, and a 5:30.38 in the championship final of the 500 free.

Hale scored 12 points insuring that the PCC women's team a place in the state meet standings, now tied for 23rd place. 

An 11th seed in the 400 IM, Hale swims on Friday, May 5 along with freshman Arabella Carboni, 15th seed in the 100 breaststroke event.
