Six PCC Women's Volleyball Players To Compete At Next Level

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team placed six 2023 sophomores at 4-year universities, matching head coach Mike Terrill's highest class of players moving on to the next level.

Two-time, All-South Coast Conference First Team selection and outside hitter Emma Yogan signed with NCAA Division II Cal State East Bay (Hayward) after an illustrious PCC career as the program's second, all-time leader in kills with 612 to go with 382 digs and 80 service aces.

Libero and All-SCC Second Team choice Makayla Chiechi moves on to D2 Azusa Pacific University after totaling 612 digs and 74 aces in her two seasons for the Lancers.

All-SCC First Team middle blocker Ashley Gilbert (114 career blocks and 279 kills) is headed to D2 Cal State Dominguez Hills

Three Lancers will be playing together on their next stop as All-SCC First Team setter Lindsay Delgadillo (1,064 digs at PCC, 12th in the state last year in assists per set at 8.89), All-SCC Second Team opposite Kyley Chang (254 kills, 97 blocks), and 2-year middle blocker Ariana Pedroza (69 kills, 50 blocks) will attened and play at NAIA La Sierra University (Riverside).

The six moving on matches the production of the 2021 Lancers undefeated South Coast Conference champion team that also had six gain scholarships at universities. 

PCC finished a combined 36-17 (.679 win percentage) with two SoCal Regional Playoff appearances thanks greatly to the efforts of these Lancers.
