A member of the inaugural PCC Sports Hall of Fame class in 1961, Clem Tomerlin made his mark from 1937-1939 in starring on conference champion teams in football, baseball, and basketball. Tomerlin played end on one of the great major college football teams ever for Stanford University in 1940. Nicknamed "The Wow Boys," Stanford used the innovative T formation offense to fuel a perfect 10-0 season, a win in the 1941 Rose Bowl, and the national championship.
