A member of the 1982 track and field team, Michael Turner was a triple state champion, winning the 200 meter dash, the 400 meters, and then running the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay (3:06.16, then a state and national record) at the '82 state meet.  Turner won the SoCal 400 in a school record time of 45.48, and his times in the 400 and relay are PCC records that are still standing more than 35 years later. His 200 time is seventh fastest by a PCC athlete ever at that length.
