Bill Davis was a halfback for two years at PJC/PCC and played shortstop on two Western State Conference baseball teams in 1948-1949. He went on to play at Santa Barbara State College and became a member of the later-named UC Santa Barbara Gauchos Hall of Fame. At Santa Barbara, he was the team's top hitter in both 1950 (.372), and 1952 (.422). He was All-CCAA in both baseball and football.
