Known as the "The World's Fastest Human," Charles "Charley" Paddock was a dominating figure in track and field sprinting. At the 1920 Olympic Games in Belgium, he won gold medals in the 100-meter dash and 4x100 relay while also earning the silver medal in the 200 meters. At the 1924 Olympics (Paris), he won the silver again in the 200. After attending PHS, Paddock ran track and field at USC. He later was a general manager of the Pasadena Star-News.
