A member of two state champion men's swim teams in 1977 and 1978 under legendary head coach Ron Ballatore, Eric Marks set four national community college records at the '78 state meet. His state title victories in the 100-yard butterfly (49.53 seconds) and 100-freestyle (45.22) still rank among the top seven times in CCC history. Marks was PCC's top scholar-athlete in 1977. He earned a scholarship to UCLA.
