Tom Hamilton is a City of Pasadena legend and earned his rightful place in the PCC Sports Hall of Fame. In 1947, he was Pasadena Junior College's football team, he was its lone All-American as a center. In 1948, he helped the Bulldogs baseball team win the Metropolitan Conference title. Hamilton earned a football scholarship to USC. Hamilton later became the head varsity football coach at Pasadena High in a 24-year coaching career, picking up 16 league titles along the way. He also was an athletic director at PHS and the school named its gymnasium in Hamilton's honor.
