Richard Quinton enters his 15th year in 2023-2024 as the Lancers sports photographer. Before joining with athletics, he was a member of the Courier campus newspaper.

Through the Courier and PCC's ties with alumni came extra opportunities to cover professional sports with AVP, MLB, MLS, NFL, NASCAR and pro swimming. With that came exclusive photo opportunities and meetings with Olympic gold medalists such as Michael Phelps and Misty May-Treanor.

Competing against other California Community Colleges in journalism competitions know as JACC, Quinton had top placings with Sports Feature Photo at fourth in SoCal, State second place in Online Photo, and SoCal third place in Sports Action On-the-Spot Photo.
