The Pasadena City College football team announced nine scholarship transfers to 4-year universites, including defensive back Drake Vickers to NCAA Division I Oregon State. This is the first wave of transfers as some key sophomores from the 2022 Lancers are still considering offers.

Vickers, from Burroughs High (Burbank), is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound talent who started at cornerback for PCC, joins the PAC 12 Conference Beavers program as a sophomore. In his one season for the Lancers, he made 26 tackles, two interceptions and two break-ups. He was an All-SCFA American Mountain League Second Team selection.

Michelangelo Loretto, a 2-year team captain at defensive end, is moving on to D1 FCS Robert Morris University (Pennsylvania). A 2-time, All-SCFA selection and All-State as a sophomore, Loretto (from Arcadia High) put together a distinguished career for the Lancers. Loretto was the model of consistency for the Lancers over his two seasons in making 88 tackles (44 each year), 15 sacks, eight QB hurries, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and three pass breakups.

Mark Anderson III, a 2-year starter at outside linebacker, signed with D2 Lane College (Tennessee). In his two PCC seasons, Anderson (Muir High) totaled 78 tackles, two sacks and six pass breakups.

Steven Ortiz, a 2-time All-SCFA offensive lineman, was the team's starting center as a sophomore and he is transferring to NAIA Dickinson State (North Dakota).

Jakob Doolittle, a letterman quarterback from Western Christian HS, received a scholarship to NAIA SAGU (Southwestern Assemblies of God, Texas) after leading the Lancers in passing with 648 yards and six touchdowns. His one completion as a freshman was a TD pass v. Compton.

Isaacc Rodriguez, a 2-year running back for PCC, is headed to NAIA Friends University (Kansas). Rodriguez (Coronado High, West Covina) made 13 special teams tackles. His best game for the Lancers came as a freshman when he rushed for 119 yards in a 2021 games v. Compton. He scored a touchdown in a win over Victor Valley this past season.

From the 2021 Lancers, offensive guard Daniel Ramirez (Bell High) continues his playing career/education at D3 University of La Verne. Two-time, All-SCFA quarterback Edward Norton (2019 and 2021 squads) and 2019 wide receiver Joevontay Clayton (Garfield High) will play together again at NAIA Mayville State (North Dakota).

Norton was the 2019-2020 PCC Men's Athlete of the Year for all sports as a freshman. In his two seasons, Norton (South East HS) rushed for 1,174 yards and 12 touchdowns while passing for 996 yards and 13 scoring throws.

PCC is led by Director of Football Operations/Head Coach Robert Tucker, who will begin his third season in charge of the Lancers later this year.
