Concluding the South Coast Conference regular season portion of the schedule, the Pasadena CIty College men's soccer team earned a #7 seed and will host #10 East Los Angeles College in the SCC Tournament on Friday, Nov. 3. Kickoff is 1:30 p.m. at Robinson Stadium preceding the women's game at 4 p.m.

The Lancers (7-8-4 overall) finished officially in fourth place in the 5-team, SCC North Division with a 2-5-2 conference mark.

Pasadena endured an 8-1 loss against SCC South champion El Camino on Tuesday after earning a 3-0 win over East Los Angeles on Oct. 27 on Sophomore Day. Both matches were also played at PCC.

Jorge Cedillo set a PCC record and leads the state in penalty kick goals by collecting his seven goal on specialty attempts. In fact, he has scored PK goals in each of the last four games, believed to be never done in state history. He leads the Lancers with 10 goals overall.

Against ELAC after Cedillo netted a PK goal in the third minute,  Emiliano Escobar took a lead pass by Angel Ballesteros and lobbed a shot over the goalie's head for a goal at the 67th minute mark and a 2-0 lead. In the 81st minute, sophomore Juaning Balmelli blasted a 12-yard drive for his first goal of the season. Goalie Matthew Gilmore made three saves for the shutout.
