Lancer Sam Regan won the endurance-testing, 1,650-yard freestyle in a season-best 17:42.33 during the final day of the Pasadena/East Los Angeles Invitational held April 8-9 at East LA's Swim Stadium. As of Saturday, Regan's time was seventh fastest thus far in the state this year.

Regan placed third in both the 500 freestyle in 5:06.34 and 400 individual medley in 4:50.88, took eighth in the 200 freestyle (1:54.89) and 11th in the 100 butterfly (1:01.96).

The Pasadena/ELAC invite, the host site for the upcoming South Coast Conference Championships April 21-23 and the CCCAA State Championships May 5-7, produced the state's fastest times in nine different events.
