Men's Swimmer Sam Regan 12th Again In Mile Freestyle At State Swim Meet

Pasadena City College men's swimmer Sam Regan duplicated his 12th place finish of last year in the 1,650-yard freestyle in swimming a faster 17:18.17 at the 2023 3C2A State Swimming and Diving Championships held at East Los Angeles College on May 6.

Regan's swim was five seconds ahead of his time performed at the 2022 state meet.

His five points allowed PCC to score 26th out of 28 scoring teams.

Regan (Arroyo High) was the lone men's team qualifier for the second straight season.

"Sam will be always connected to keeping the program afloat during COVID and the first post-COVID season last year," said PCC head coach Terry Stoddard. "His hard work over the past few years has been greatly appreciated and his teammates this season looked up to him as a leader."
