
ELAC/Pasadena Invitational Results
Led by two event wins by Michael Petersen, the Pasadena City College men's swim team placed third out of seven scoring teams at the annual ELAC/Pasadena Invitational held at ELAC's Swim Stadium on April 3-5.
Petersen swam his season-best times in winning the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:10.44 and 100-yard breaststroke race in 58.45 seconds. He is fourth in the state in the 200 and seventh currently in the 100.
Petersen scored third in the 50 freestyle (22.10) and helped the Lancers place second along with Evan Yi, Javier Becerra and Ethan Toro in both the 400 medley relay (3:55.06) and 200 medley relay (1:46.12). Becerra took second in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.07) and Toro scored third in the 1,650 freestyle (20:20.01).
Yi was fourth in the 100 individual medley (59.34) and 100 butterfly (55.96).
Ventura won the team title (1,046.5 points), followed by El Camino (795), then PCC at 553. Cypress was fourth (342.5), LA Pierce fifth (326), Crafton Hills sixth (114), adn Canyons seventh (78).
