Men's Track and Field Regular Season Concludes With 5th Place At SCC Championships

The Pasadena City College men's track and field team finished in fifth place with 32 points at the South Coast Conference Prelims/Championships held April 23 and 27 at El Camino College.

The Lancers finish the 2024 regular season despite second place finishes by Frank Macias in the javelin and Jaden Pena in the discus. 

Macias threw a season-best 151 feet, six inches to score eight points for the Lancers while Pena's 123-0 throw also tallied eight team points. 

Ridge Lalau placed fourth in the discus at 118-11 (five points) while Thai Ho was sixth (three points) in the javelin at 142-1.

The 4x100 relay squad of Kai Sebastian, Winsor Harmon, Devin Hardy and Stephen Houlemard came in fifth (44.84 seconds) while the 4x400 relay of Sebastian, Harmon, Youssef Cherqaoui, and Hardy scored fifth as well (3:33.77). The two relays totaled four points each.

Steven Truong just missed scoring in the pole vault, placing ninth at 11-5.75 while Luca Augustyn was 10th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:56.73.

BREAKING NEWS: The Lancers learned that Macias, Pena, Lalau and Truong have all qualified for the SoCal Prelims scheduled for Friday, May 3 at Cerritos College.
