Lancers 2025 Men's Track and Field Season Commences

Coach Innocent Egbunike's Pasadena City College men's track and field team opened the 2025 season at the SCC Opener meet held Saturday at Long Beach City College. 

While carrying a 21-man roster, the Lancers only had a few ready to compete in this meet with one of the better performances turned in by freshman Travon Avery (Lincoln High), who placed sixth in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet, 9.75 inches. 

PCC took eighth in the distance medley at 12:01.38 behind Luca Augustyn, Stephen Houlemard, Dylan La Marsnaand Sergio De Los Santos Jr. Only Le Marsna (Burbank High) is a freshman.

First-year racer Anthony Pequeno (Temple City HS) was ninth in the 150 meters at 16.84 seconds. 

Frosh Jamir Allen (Pasadena High) placed 13th in the 60 meter dash at 7.29 while sophomore Devin Hardy finished 18th in the 600 at 1:30.71.

The Lancers will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 28 when they take part in the RCC Invitational at Riverside City College.
