
The Pasadena City College men's track and field team posted the third best time in the 4x400 meter relay and fourth in the 4x100 at the Long Beach City College Viking Invitational on Friday.
The Lancers four of Jayden Jordan, Jamir Allen, Kai Sebastian and Anthony Pequeno scored the state's 20th best time thus far in the 4x100 at 43.09 seconds. In the 4x400, it was James Dolan, Travon Avery, Devin Hardy and Pequeno who hit the finish at 3:33.82 (26th in the state).
Pequeno was third overall in both the 200 and 400 races as he raced a 22.15 seconds (22nd in state) and then a 50.74 (34th).
Teddie Wen was fifth in the 5,000 (17:08.63) allowing him to reach the state Top 50, and he was eighth in the 1,500 at 4:30.89.
Lucas Plasencia scored 10th in the 800 (2:09.85) and Avery 10th in the 400 (53.38).
Allen placed 12th in the 100 at 11.39 with Jordan 20th (11.71), Isaac Otero 23rd (11.76) and Sebastian 26th (11.82).
In the 200, Allen was 16th (23.28). In the 800, Luca Augustyn placed 16th (2:15.30) and Maxime Slek 19th (2:22.66).
In the 5,000, Sergio De Los Santos Jr. was 14th (18:26.19) while Plascencia took 14th in the 1,500 (4:35.96).
Julian Esparza was 19th in the shot put.
Coach Innocent Egbunike's Lancers next participate in the Coast Classic at Orange Coast College on Friday, Mar. 14.
