Men's Cross Country Repeats 9th Place At Mt. SAC Invite

Led by Philycius Oey's 47th place finish, the Pasadena City College men's cross country team scored ninth place out of 13 scoring teams at the Mt. SAC Invitational held Friday in Walnut. It was the second straight year that the Lancers placed ninth at the event.

Oey ran the 4-mile course in a time of 23 minutes, 50.6 seconds to lead PCC's racers and his time was more than a minute faster than his run at Mt. SAC as a freshman.

Youssef Cherqaoui hit the closing line in 24:04.5 (52nd place) then was followed by Etienne Deleage in 84th at 25:23. Michael Bartle placed 91st (25:46.9), then Joshua Ramirez in 98th (26:06.8). Johnathan Macali finished in 122nd (31:42.5) to round out the Lancers harriers.

Host Mt. SAC won the team event but PCC finished ahead of fellow South Coast Conference competitors El Camino (10th) and East Los Angeles (12th).

The Lancers are scheduled to run in the Cal State Fullerton John Elders Titan Invite on Friday, Oct. 21 at 5:35 p.m.
