Sophomore Etienne Deleage became the fifth different Lancer to lead the Pasadena City College men's cross country team at a race this season as he scored 29th in helping PCC earn fifth place at the South Coast Conference Championships held Friday in Palos Verdes.

Deleage ran the 4-mile course in 25 minutes, 56.8 seconds as he was followed closely by teammates Michael Bartle in 32nd (26:10.8), letterman Philycius Oey in 35th (26:20.5), and Youssef Cherqaoui in 38th (26:31.8). The four Lancers ran more or less in a pack and finished within 35 seconds of each.

Joshua Ramirez was the fifth scoring Lancer in 56th (29:28.1) while Johnathan Macali (33:48.6) placed 70th to round out the squad.

Mt. San Antonio won its ninth straight SCC team championship while Mountie Austin Ledgerwood was the individual champion in 22:46.8. PCC's fifth place finish was the highest by the program since 2016 when the Lancers scored third.

It's been 12 years since the program produced an All-SCC Top 14 racer with the last being Wil Zentymyer, who placed third at the 2010 conference meet.
