The 2022 Pasadena City College men's country season came to a close on Friday with a 23rd team place at the Southern California Championships held at Bakersfield's Kern Country Park.

For the first time since 2015, the Lancers had no one qualify as an individual for the CCCAA State Championships.

The Lancers were led on the 4-mile SoCal meet course by Youssef Cherqaoui with a time of 22:49, 108th overall in a 190-runner field.

Sophomore Philycius Oey placed 121st (23:11.4) and was followed by Etienne Deleage in 132nd (23:33), Michael Bartle in 137th (23:47.9), Johnathan Macali in 169th (25:57.7), and non-scoring runner Joshua Ramirez in 173rd (26:18).

Oey had qualified for the state meet as a freshman. Cherqaoui finished 31 seconds and 19 places from qualifying.

Oey and Deleage ran their final meet as Lancers.
