For the second time in the last 11 games, the Pasadena City College softball team won three straight games, earning an 8-3, South Coast Conference victory at Los Angeles Harbor on Tuesday. The Lancers are 7-4 since March 30.

Pasadena (13-24 overall, 2-16 in the SCC) won the season series over Harbor and likely insured that it will finish in seventh place in the 8-team conference.

The Lancers stole a season-high eight bases, two each by third baseman Kimberly Dea and second baseman Montserra Fukumoto. Switch-hitting shortstop Gizelle Leyva batted 2-for-3 including hitting doubles from both sides of the plate. Centerfielder Breeana Rodriguez laced a 2-RBI single in the fifth to help the Lancers to a 6-0 lead.

Kiley Kraft, PCC's pitching ace, helped herself out at the plate going 2-for-4 with a RBI single for PCC's first run in the fourth. Kraft (11-6 record) went the 7-inning distance for the 10th time this season and lowered her ERA to 3.10. She scattered seven hits and continued her pinpoint control with one walk. Kraft has walked only 17 batters in 115.1 innings, an average of just 1.03 BB per every seven innings pitched.

Fukumoto and Ortega, the lone sophomores on the 2022 team, each batted 2-for-4 with Ortega collecting a double.

The Lancers will celebrate Sophomore Day including a few others who are leaving their program to advance their academic careers on Thursday, April 21 when PCC hosts Rio Hondo College at off-campus Robinson Park. The ceremony will take place at 2:15 p.m. with the game following.
