After assisting on Pasadena City College's strong 24-18 team from 2023 and a return to the postseason, Audriana Gutierrez became just the seventh head coach in Lancers softball history in 2024.

Gutierrez has nine seasons of community college assistant coaching experience, seven as an assistant at Riverside City College. In 2023, her title was as associate head coach under the tutelage of retired PCC head coach Monica Tantlinger.

Gutierrez also was an assistant at Hartnell College and at her former high school--A.B. Miller in Fontana (2014-2015).

In 2011, Gutierrez played at Cal State Monterey Bay where she earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.

In 2010, Gutierrez was an All-Orange Empire Conference First Team catcher at Riverside CC as she hit .333 with four home runs and 42 RBI, a mark that at the time was tied for third for a single season in Tigers softball history. She helped Riverside make it to its first-ever trip to the state tournament that year.

"Coach Gutierrez will keep traditions alive and lead future programs to more successful years," Tantlinger said of her successor.

Gutierrez talked about taking over the head coaching duties.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to grow and hit more milestones within this program," she said. "It was a pleasure working along side a coaching staff that poured their hearts, blood, sweat and tears into building it. This year was incredible for progress and growth. I'm looking forward to sharing how special this program is with future Lancers to come."
