Rio Hondo College outscored the Pasadena City College women's basketball team, 24-4, in a game-changing third quarter and it resulted in a 75-64 loss by the Lancers on Coaches v. Cancer Night at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Roadrunners sent PCC to its fourth consecutive defeat.

PCC fell to 11-12 overall and dropped to 0-3 in the South Coast Conference North Division. It was the program's uncharacteristic seventh loss in a row in conference play dating back to last season.

Wearing their special white jerseys with pink numbers, PCC played a see-saw first half with Rio Hondo, trailing only by one at halftime, 38-37. But in third period, PCC's struggled to make baskets, only 2-for-15 from the field and fumbled nine turnovers.

Rio Hondo went on an 18-0 run during a seven-minute, 13-second scoring drought by PCC. The Roadrunners led by as much as 62-39, a lead that was too much for the Lancers to catch up.

Tena Ikidi again paced the Lancers' offense with 19 points and 14 rebounds and Maiya Villanueva's shooting struggles continued, scoring 10 points, but hitting just 2-for-18 from the field.

Bryannae Robinson added nine points, seven rebounds, and three steals, Emily Trinh seven points, Naomi Turner and Tatiana Ayala six points each, Sheridan Orange five points, and Haylie Sagarra two points with five boards and three steals off the bench.

Rio Hondo's Jiselle Cabrera totaled 15 points to lead four players in double digits in scoring.

PCC will try to get back on track on Wednesday, Feb. 1 when it plays at East Los Angeles College (5 p.m. tip-off).
